Race Course Road renamed Lok Kalyan Marg

New Delhi: The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on Wednesday renamed Race Course Road as Lok Kalyan Marg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence is also located on this road would be called ‘7 Lok Kalyan Marg ‘ from ‘7 Race Course Road’.

This announcement was made in a press conference which was attended by NDMC Chairman Naresh Kumar, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi.

The change in the name was proposed by Meenakshi lekhi, the representative of New Delhi constituency in Parliament, she suggested that the name of the road on which the PM lives should be changed to “match the Indian culture”.

New Delhi, 23 Nov. : Amid a rise in COVID-19 cases, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of States over the coronavirus situation on Tuesday, via video conferencing.
According to the sources, PM Narendra Modi is likely to discuss the rollout of the vaccine program in the states during the COVID-19 review meeting with CMs.

Reportedly, he will hold virtual meetings with the Chief Ministers of Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, West Bengal, and Kerala.
